The incident happened at Thuy Trieu gas shop at 244 on Thach Son Street at around 10:30 this morning, August 11.
The gas cylinders explode so violently that they spread to the two neighbouring houses.
After being informed, the police quickly came to the scene and mobilised local residents.
Vuong Trinh Quoc, chairman of Sapa Town, said that the fire was extinguished at 11:30 am. Although no human loss was reported, two houses were totally ruined, while another nearby was partially damaged.
The case is under investigation.
