The first Covid-19 case at Minh Anh Kim Lien Garment Joint Stock Company in Vinh City on January 5. To date, the firm has had 87 Covid-19 infections.

The company was requested to halt operations for Covid-19 prevention and tracing of around 300 people that have had close contact with the Covid-19 cases, said Tran Anh Tan, chairman of Dong Hung Commune in Vinh City.
The company has 3,200 workers that are from neighbouring districts. Most of them return home every day. This poses a high risk of the pandemic breaking out in many localities.
The company suspension will last until January 13.
All staff of the company will undergo Covid-19 tests. The company will sterilise its facilities.
The firm will also classify groups of workers to arrange work areas in the best way possible. All workers in the company will also receive a third Covid-19 vaccine shot.
