Another flower exhibition took place at the city’s Flower Garden to introduce hundreds of signature flowers of the cold land, including orchids, lilies, roses, daisies and carnations, which made Da Lat a “city of thousands flowers”.
In addition, market day stores were placed in Nguyen Van Cu Street, selling flowers and eye-catching fruits and vegetables grown in Da Lat, such as beetroots, baby cucumbers, salads and strawberry trees in pot, for the upcoming New Year holiday.
A series of tours were also designed on the occasion to take tourists to local famous flower villages – Thai Phien, Ha Dong, and Van Thanh or to visit ethnic minority people and explore their daily lives and culture.
Da Lat is Vietnam’s most famous resort city which is surrounded by a series of pine-covered hills, lakes, higher peaks and many buildings in French architectural style.
During this year’s festive season, the city is resplendent with hundreds of flowers blooming either side of steeping paved paths and Christmas decorations in every corner.
