This year’s recipients represent a range of agricultural sectors, with a particular focus on production models based on green, circular and organic farming, as well as climate-resilient and safe agricultural practices.

Many have led efforts to transform farming methods and rural production, including consolidating land holdings, reorganising plots to support large-scale commercial production, and changing crop and livestock structures.

They have also pioneered the use of high technology and digital agriculture, introduced inventions and improvements, and adopted sustainable farming standards such as VietGAP, GlobalGAP and organic production, while adapting to climate change.

Among the notable recipients are Pham Van Luong from Haiphong, whose poultry-breeding business generated VND 206 billion (about USD 7.93 million) in 2024; Dang Van Bay from Vinh Long, whose shrimp-farming business generated VND 200 billion (about USD 7.70 million); and Le Manh Cuong from Phu Tho, who earned VND 200 billion (about USD 7.70 million) from livestock farming and ornamental plants.

The largest production area was reported by Nguyen Hong Phuong from An Giang, who grows rice across 224 hectares. Nguyen Minh Thanh from Khanh Hoa manages 128 hectares for organic and circular agriculture combined with ecotourism.

The oldest recipient is Le Van Sau, an 82-year-old farmer from Can Tho. The youngest are Tran Vinh Thuan, 33, from Vinh Long, and Nguyen Huu Ngoc, 33, from Khanh Hoa.
