EuroCham will open its sixth European Food Festival in Hanoi on May 28 in a bid to further promote European cuisine in Vietnam.

The festival is EuroCham’s premiere social event of 2011, and is part of various activities to celebrate Europe Days worldwide.
EuroCham’s 2011 European Food Festival is expected to offer an interesting day out, with authentic European food and beverages, exciting games and activities for children, along with a host of city-based bands and entertainers.
Visitors will have the opportunity to experience the diversity of European tastes and flavours including paella, beef zurichoise with spatzle, paté, lasagna, spaghetti Bolognese, and a range of assorted baguettes and pizzas.
The dishes will be prepared by renowned chefs from the Sofitel Legend Metropole, Sofitel Plaza, Hilton Hanoi Opera, Melia, Mövenpick and Grand Plaza hotels, the Mercure, Pane e Vino and 1911 restaurants.
The best wine and cheese will also be available, provided by Metro and Big C, along tea and coffee and Fanny ice-cream.
Children will be able to enjoy the kids’ corner featuring a giant bouncy castle, house of balls, face painting and much more.
A lucky draw is offering the opportunity to win a return flight to Europe with Vietnam Airlines, resort stays, restaurant vouchers, and Davines hair-care products along with other attractive prizes.
The main donors for the festival include Vietnam Airlines and prominent EuroCham members such as Metro Cash & Carry VN, Unilever, Lavie, Big C, Bitburger, Santa Fe, Diageo and Italian hair-care specialists Davines.
Tickets cost VND250,000 (USD12) and include coupons for food, beer and other drinks. Entrance is free for children under 10.
