Xoan said, "Everyone feels for his situation and helps take care of him. When Truong's wife was still alive, she took care of everything but after her death, there are only Truong and his mentally-ill son."
Than Van Dung, Truong's son, was healthy and even got married before. Unfortunately, he fell on his head while working as a bricklayer and it left him badly effected. His wife moved out with their child and have never returned.
Chin said they couldn't look after Dung. Sometimes, he would lie down suddenly like a corpse. "I called for the youth union to help bathe him. Then everyone was scared when he just dropped to the ground. He collected rubbish and told everyone while pointing to them that he was rich," Chin said.
"When he was healthy, he would call us from work, asking us if we were in good health and if we need anything then. Now he is just like a child," Truong said.
Truong said he was lucky to have such good neighbours but they are all too poor so he can't rely on them forever.
