Many cities and provinces in Vietnam have found illegal migrants, which have added complications to the fight against Covid-19. Dong Nai Province has recently discovered many illegal migrants.

Under the provincial people’s committee decision, people who provide accurate and timely information about cross border movements will be granted a certificate of merit and a VND10-million bonus. On Monday, traffic police in Xuan Loc District, Dong Nai, saw a coach running from Binh Thuan Province. The vehicles were stopped and police discovered five Chinese people hiding in cartons.

The Chinese group admitted that they had illegally entered Vietnam through the northern mountainous province of Cao Bang. They were sent to a quarantine site for Covid-19 prevention.
