Tay Ninh proposes road linking HCM City Ring Road 4

Tay Ninh Province has proposed a VND 2.595 trillion (US$99 million) road project to connect HCM City's Ring Road 4 with Provincial Road 830, creating a key transport corridor in southern Vietnam.

According to a report submitted by the Tay Ninh People's Committee on Tuesday, the proposed Tan Tap-Long Hau Road would stretch about 10.1 kilometre and be built in two sections using public investment funds.

The first section, measuring about 5.1 kilometres, would run from the Road 826E intersection to Ring Road 4. The existing three-lane road would be upgraded to six lanes along an 80-metre-wide cleared corridor.

The second section would extend about 5km from Ring Road 4 to Road 830, comprising a six-lane road and six bridges. The carriageway would be 24 metres wide on a 26-metre roadbed, with an 80-metre-wide land clearance corridor.

Provincial leaders have approved the investment proposal in principle, and the project is undergoing appraisal before an investment policy decision is issued.

Authorities are reviewing the project's estimated cost, land acquisition plan, the number of affected households, resettlement requirements and implementation timeline before submitting the proposal for final approval.
