Dong Hoi applies social distancing after new Covid-19 cases

The central province of Quang Binh has applied social distancing in Dong Hoi City after the first two Covid-19 cases were found in the area.

The decision was signed by the Vice-Chairman of Quang Binh People's Committee Ho Quang Phong on July 21. Dong Hoi City will apply the social distancing rules for 14 days starting from July 22.

Several locations in Dong Hoi that were already in lockdown are around Hoang Dieu Street including the area from Hoang Dieu Roundabout to Tran Hung Dao Street, Hoang Dieu roundabout to Nguyen Huu Dat Street, Hoang Dieu roundabout to Hoa Huy Tap Street and the Alleyway 33 on Hoang Dieu Street.

The two newest cases are a driver living on Hoang Dieu Street, Dong Hoi City, and another patient in Bai Dinh Village, Minh Hoa District. The patients are in stable condition and do not show any symptoms.

The driver had carried three positive patients from Dong Hoi to Minh Hoa on July 14 before he was tested positive. From July 14 to 20, the driver continued to serve 48 passengers at Dong Hoi Station.

As of July 21, Quang Binh City has reported five Covid-19 cases.
