Under the project, the new terminal will cover a total area of 12.82 hectares.
Dong Hoi Airport
Once the terminal is operational, Dong Hoi Airport’s annual capacity will reach three million passengers by 2030.
Dong Hoi Airport is approximately six kilometres from the centre of Dong Hoi City. It is now home to a runway 2,400 metres long and 45 metres wide. The current terminal, operating since 2008, can serve only 500,000 passengers yearly.
Meanwhile, the airport is severely overloaded. By 2025, its capacity will reach nearly one million passengers, making expansion and upgrading necessary.
After being expanded, the airport’s apron can accommodate eight aeroplanes instead of just four.
