
Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Ho Thi Kim Thoa dismissed
Thoa was given a warning as a party member. The Politburo and the Central Inspection Committee then proposed to dismiss her from all positions.
After gathering opinions, the Secretariat of the Central Commission agreed to dismiss Thoa and the Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc signed the decision on August 16. Her job after being dismissed as the deputy minister will be decided by the minister of industry and trade.
Thoa submitted a letter of resignation citing personal reasons.
On July 31, the Central Inspection Commission also proposed sacking Thoa from her current positions. The body said Thoa violated regulations on business equitisation and procedures which had serious consequences. She was also accused of omitting information and lying in her personal declaration of her assets.
