Danang opens beach accesses for disabled people

The central city of Danang is going to spend VND11bn (USD474,000) to open 24 access points leading to local beaches for disabled people.

Danang to open more beach accesses for disabled people.

The money will come from the city's budget. The project will be carried out in all beaches in the city including the beaches on Vo Nguyen Giap, Hoang Sa, Truong Sa and Nguyen Tat Thanh streets.

Metal plates and concrete will be used to build a path leading down to the beach for wheelchair access.

The Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Danang beaches will be the project's investor and manager. The project will be started in 2021 and completed in 2023.

In 2016, Danang authorities put into operation two beach access points for disabled people. One is in Bien Dong Park and the other is next to Vo Nguyen Giap and Hoang Ke Viem streets. These are the first beach accesses for disabled people in Danang.
