Cold spells forecasted for northern region on Tet
According to Hoang Phuc Lam, deputy director of the National Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, 3-4 cold spells would occur in the north from now until the Tet holiday. However, they would not last long and not be very strong with mountainous areas the most affected.
A cold snap was predicted to hit the region on January 11 and the three others would fall on January 14, 20-21 and Tet.
Many northern and northern central localities would see smog in some days to come.
