On Sunday, the worker who is from Hanoi’s Thanh Tri District had a fever and cough. He then went to Thang Long Hospital for a medical check-up. There, he tested positive for Covid-19.
Following the case, authorities of Thuong Tin District ordered Coca-Cola to suspend its operations for tracing people who had come into close contact with the man.
Kieu Xuan Huy, the district people’s committee chairman said that initially, around 30 people in the company have been defined to be related to the Covid-19-infected worker.
Disinfection is being conducted at the whole company.
Hanoi has continued witnessing more Covid-19 patients. On Monday, the city reported 159 new infections. The city asked people who have symptoms like fever, sore throat, fever and cough to contact local medical authorities for registering for free Covid-19 tests.
