The programme launched on Wednesday in Danang City is aimed to help stimulate the localities’ post-Covid-19 tourism industry in line with the government’s instruction of both ensuring Covid-19 prevention and socio-economic development.

People in the three localities will be offered cheap experiences at local resorts and hotels from now to the end of December. This is a great gratitude to them for their concerted efforts to support local authorities in the fight against Covid-19.
Local visitors to Hue will enjoy the 50% discount of entrance tickets to sites in the Imperial City of Hue from now to the end of December. Meanwhile, in the first six months of next year, the ticket exemption will be given to visitors to the sites.
In Danang, visitors to local tourist sites will be offered free of charge in the first six months of this year, while they will receive the 50% discount of entrance tickets to Ngu Hanh Son area and the Museum of Cham Sculpture in the second half of the year.
Entrance tickets to Hoi An Old Town and local handicraft villages will be cut by half between January and June next year.
The programme will also have meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) tours for companies and agencies on the occasion of the year-end. The application time is between November 2020 to February 2021.
More than 200 travel firms, restaurants and hotels have also provided the 20-40% discount for their services.
Tourism authorities of the three localities will intensify the opinion gathering from tourists benefiting from the programme to inspect service quality.
Truong Thi Hong Hanh, director of the Danang Department of Tourism, hoped that the programme would offer interesting experiences for tourists. She expected that Danang, Thua Thien-Hue and Quang Nam would continue co-operate in the future.
She, however, noted that tourism activities still need to conform to Covid-19 prevention regulations.
