Senior Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army (VPA), instructed the preparation work at Gia Lam Airport on November 26 when thousands of military artists and officers joined in a rehearsal for the event.
The rehearsal also saw seven Su-30MK2 jets and seven helicopters. Seven Su-30MK2 jets formed a formation, split into two waves, and followed behind while flying over Gia Lam Airport.
At the opening ceremony, 80 military dogs will line up to form the number 80, signifying the 80th anniversary of the formation of Vietnam's People's Army.
By the end of November, 140 delegations from 27 countries, including the US, the UK, Russia, Spain, Israel, and China, had registered to participate in the Vietnam International Defence Expo 2024, which took place from December 19 to 22 at Gia Lam Airport on the outskirts of Hanoi.
The public will have free access to the exhibition from the afternoon of December 21 to December 22.
