With the festival five days away, Hang Ma Street has been transformed by colourful displays of traditional toys, lanterns, masks and decorations.
Shops have filled their storefronts with Mid-Autumn Festival goods, including traditional star-shaped lanterns and lanterns in a wide range of sizes and colours.
Many families took advantage of the weekend to bring their children to Hang Ma Street early.
The influx of visitors and vehicles caused congestion on Hang Ma and nearby streets, including Hang Luoc, Cha Ca and Hang Cot.
As night fell, shop lights illuminated thousands of colourful toys and decorations hanging above the street, drawing more visitors.
At times, the crowds made it difficult to move through the area, while Hanoi's relatively cool weekend weather provided favourable conditions for outdoor activities.
Some parents carried young children on their shoulders to make their way through the crowds and give them a better view of the displays.

Traders said Mid-Autumn goods were not displayed as widely on pavements as in previous years because of rules aimed at keeping pavements and roadsides clear. Still, the variety of products continued to draw large crowds of residents and tourists.
