The two-day festival, running from September 19-20, will take place across Luong Van Tri, Dong Kinh, Ky Lua and Tam Thanh wards, according to the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
The programme will feature a drone light show, traditional and modern lantern exhibitions, a lantern parade, art performances, a night market and tourism experiences, along with a seminar on Vietnam-China border tourism development.
A drone light show will take place over central Lang Son on the night of September 19.
The highlight will be the drone light show at the opening ceremony at 8pm on September 19. The drones will fly in synchronised formations, creating illuminated images and visual effects accompanied by music and narration.
The performance will feature themes showcasing the culture and people of Lang Son.
Other activities, including lantern displays, art performances, night-market events and tourism experiences, will be held across the four wards.
Through the festival, Lang Son aims to introduce new night-time tourism products, promote light and lantern art, preserve traditional cultural values and develop the Border Light Festival into a tourism brand.
The event is also expected to support the province's night-time economy.
