
Waste has piled up on the pavement of Nguyen Thi Soc Street in Hoc Mon District. Roads around Hoc Mon Market have been hit by waste for many years. According to a local resident, this is due to littering by pedestrians and traders from the market.

Rubbish has been strewn across National Highway 22, but local authorities have seemingly done nothing.


Household items such as blankets, school bags and pillows are also found at waste piles around Hoc Mon Market.

Cardboard boxes used to contain fruits are littered all over pavements, occupying areas for pedestrians.

Long-standing landfills have become places for passersby to urinate, creating a foul odour in the area.
