Budget carrier VietJet Air has revised the departure times for flights VJ1256 and VJ258 from HCM City to Thanh Hoa, as well as VJ1257 and VJ259 on the return leg. The airline noted that several other flights may also be affected due to knock-on scheduling changes.

This is not the first time Tho Xuan Airport has suspended night operations. The airport previously halted all flights from 6 pm on June 16 to 6 am on June 17 due to technical issues. All flights to and from Thanh Hoa during that period were adjusted.

Several VietJet flights bound for Tho Xuan Airport were diverted after unidentified drones were spotted near the facility between June 13 and the night of June 15, causing further disruptions.

According to a Tho Xuan Airport representative, most unauthorised drone incursions occurred at night, directly affecting evening flight operations.
