New Vung Tau-Tan Son Nhat Airport bus route approved

Authorities in the southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau have approved a new bus route linking Vung Tau City and Tan Son Nhat International Airport in HCM City.

The route will be around 110 kilometres, taking around four hours.

The journey from Vung Tau to HCM City starts at Vung Tau Passenger Port, follows one of three approved routes via National Highway 51, Long Thanh-Dau Giay Expressway, and Mai Chi Tho Street, then continues through Phan Dinh Giot and Truong Son streets before ending at Tan Son Nhat International Airport.

The return trip is from Tan Son Nhat International Airport, runs along Truong Son, Tran Quoc Hoan, and Hoang Van Thu streets, then goes through one of three designated routes via Mai Chi Tho Street, Long Thanh-Dau Giay Expressway, and National Highway 51, before ending at Vung Tau Passenger Port.

Departures from Vung Tau are from 2.30  am to 9.30  pm, while buses leave HCM City between 5.30 am and midnight. Buses run every 10 minutes, using vehicles of 10-16 seats to shuttle passengers.

Vung Tau will have about 26 pick-up and drop-off points, while HCM City will have around 28.

Hai Van International Transport Joint Venture Company, based in Ba Ria-Vung Tau, has operated the bus service connecting Vung Tau and HCM City since 2019.
