The ketamine was hidden in 16 cartons of powdered milk.
According to the Nghe An police, at around 1 pm on October 25, Nguyen Van Ba, 31, was caught red-handed receiving the cartons in Cau Giat Town in Quynh Luu District.

When discovered by the police, Nguyen Van Ba attempted to resist arrest and was detained.
The police then subsequently found 9.3 kilos of ketamine in the cartons.
Ba confessed that the drugs were sent by a Vietnamese person from Europe to Hanoi via Noi Bai International Airport Airport before being transported to Nghe An for Ba to sell.
During a search of Ba's accommodation, the police also seized an additional 600 pills.
The case is under investigation.
