According to investigators from the Hanoi Police Department, since 2020, Huong has sold high-end goods, including accessories, handbags, watches, and diamonds, from luxury brands such as Versace, Louis Vuitton, Cartier, and Hermès.
She primarily operated through her Facebook fan page, Hyclothet – New Things by Hy, a private Facebook group called Hycloset – Hang Hieu Authentic, and a Zalo group chat for VIP customers.
Authorities estimate that her total revenue exceeded VND 834 billion (approximately USD 32.8 million), yet she failed to declare or pay taxes as required by law.
During the investigation, Huong and six employees responsible for order processing, packing, customer messaging, and advertising were summoned and reportedly confessed to the violations.
On July 9, police raided Huong’s residence, livestreaming location and warehouse. They confiscated a large quantity of luxury handbags, watches, diamonds and accessories valued at nearly VND 10 billion (approximately USD 393,000). Most of the items lacked invoices or verifiable origins.
