Tay Ninh Province is moving forward with plans to develop the Moc Bai-Xuyen A industrial and urban corridor road, with authorities completing the necessary documentation and procedures ahead of construction, according to a progress report released on July 20.

The planned route will stretch approximately 123.5 kilometres, including more than 20 kilometres through the former Binh Duong area, more than 45 kilometres through the former Tay Ninh area and around 57 kilometres through the former Long An area. The road is designed to accommodate eight to 10 lanes.
The route will begin at National Road N16 in the expanded Bau Bang Industrial Park in Ho Chi Minh City, and terminate in Long An Ward, Tay Ninh Province, where it will connect with Ho Chi Minh City's Ring Road 4 and the Ho Chi Minh City-Trung Luong-My Thuan Expressway.
According to the Tay Ninh Province People's Committee, the first phase will involve the construction of approximately 33.1 kilometres of roadway within Tay Ninh, extending from Binh Tay Bridge to National Road 22, about four kilometres from Moc Bai International Border Gate.
The first phase is expected to require an investment of approximately VND 7.6 trillion (USD 290.46 million).
Of the total, the provincial government will allocate around VND 1 trillion (USD 38.22 million) from its 2026-2030 medium-term public investment plan to finance land clearance, while the remaining funding will be mobilised by private investors under a public-private partnership (PPP) model.
