
Rescue forces look for the missing man on the Dao River on July 13.
According to local authorities, the accident occurred at around 4.30 pm on National Highway 46A. A four-seater car carrying three men aged between 35 and 37 collided with a motorbike driven by a 32-year-old man who was travelling with his 28-year-old wife and their two sons, aged 4 and 9.
The crash caused the motorbike to be thrown aside. The driver of the motorbike was rushed to hospital but later died of his injuries. His wife and younger son sustained serious injuries and are currently being treated at hospital.
The couple's older son, aged 9, was thrown into the Dao River along with the car. His body was recovered at around 10.30 pm the same day.
The driver and a passenger in the car managed to escape unharmed, while the third passenger was found dead in the river on Monday morning.
Nghe An Provincial Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
