Two coaches collided on Vinh Hao-Phan Thiet Expressway in the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong, leaving three people dead and many others injured.

The crash occurred at approximately 2 am this morning, July 9, on the section of the Vinh Hao-Phan Thiet Expressway running through Ham Liem Commune.

According to initial information, a coach heading south on the expressway suddenly crashed into the rear of another coach. The driver’s identity has yet to be confirmed.

According to the Lam Dong Department of Health, in the early hours of this morning, Binh Thuan General Hospital admitted 41 victims from the crash, including three who were pronounced dead before arrival.

Currently, three seriously injured victims are being treated at the hospital, one has been transferred to a medical facility in HCM City, and 34 passengers with minor injuries have been discharged.

Authorities have confirmed the identities of the deceased as Le Pham Anh Vu, 40, the coach driver; Trinh Gia Bao, 16, and Phan Kim Thanh, 25, both working as assistants on the bus.

The cause of the accident is underway.
