The Van Phuc Bridge will be 7.7 kilometres long, linking Phung Thuong Commune in Hanoi’s outlying district of Phuc Tho and Vinh Phuc Province.

The section running through Hanoi will have four lanes, while the one located in Vinh Phuc will have eight lanes.

The project is scheduled to be implemented between 2022 and 2025.

Currently, Hanoi has eight bridges across the Red River, consisting of Thang Long, Chuong Duong, Vinh Tuy (the first phase), Thanh Tri, Nhat Tan, Vinh Thinh, Long Bien, and Viet Tri-Ba Vi. By 2030 Hanoi would build ten more bridges across the Red River, raising the city’s total bridge number across the river to 18 by the time.
