The incident occurred at around 10 am on May 14 in Minh Long District. It was recorded by a nearby household’s security camera.

According to the security footage, a man in the the uniform of Mai Linh Quang Ngai Company was seen entering a roadside drink shop. At that time, a bus parked nearby without a driver at the wheel started to slowly move on its own. Realising this, he rushed out and pressed his shoulder against the front to stop it.
In spite of his efforts, the bus kept moving. He felt from exhaustion and was tragically crushed between the bus and a roadside utility pole.
A representative of Mai Linh Quang Ngai confirmed the incident to Dantri Newspaper, saying that the victim was a staff member serving the Quang Ngai City-Minh Long bus route.
“The driver is currently working with the police, so we don’t know why the bus could move unattended. We will inform the media specifically after the incident is confirmed,” the representative noted.
