The festival honours orchids as a key agricultural product of the city. This year’s event features a large-scale exhibition space inspired by a North-South railway theme, with the Ho Chi Minh City metro system at the centre.

Visitors are guided through stations representing southeastern, northern, central, Central Highlands, and southwestern areas. The stations feature displays promoting a green lifestyle and a message of sustainability toward net zero.

The 2025 Orchid Festival has expanded significantly, attracting over 200 florists, gardeners, and orchid farms nationwide and overseas. One of the highlights is the award-winning piece Hon Viet (Vietnamese Spirit), which earned a Silver Medal at the TIOS 2025 exhibition.

This third festival is a platform for artisans to showcase their talent and a chance to raise public awareness of environmental issues and support the growth of the local floriculture industry.

At the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Vo Van Hoan called on the Department of Industry and Trade and other agencies to collaborate on hosting seminars, offering online sales consultations, and expanding orchid markets.

Nguyen Thi Vy, a resident of District 4, said, “The festival is a great opportunity to admire orchids and learn how to care for them. The beautifully designed booths create a relaxing atmosphere for visitors.”

The event also features interactive activities such as floral dyeing, flower arranging, and spray painting art, which have attracted significant public interest.
