Voice of Vietnam (VOV) ceased airing all VTC channels and VOV TV from January 15.
Following a government decision, these channels' functions will be transferred to Vietnam Television (VTV), which will develop a comprehensive restructuring plan to fulfil its mission as a national television company.
VTC Digital Television Network, launched in 2004, was the first television network in Vietnam to utilise a digital terrestrial broadcast network. It became part of VOV's multimedia services in 2015.
VOVTV operated since 2008.
The Nhan Dan (People) TV, which was launched in 2015, also stopped broadcasting from January 15.
Earlier, on January 1, the National Assembly TV and the Vietnam News Agency Television (Vnews) ceased their independent operations and had their functions transferred to VTV.
