The goalpost where the accident occurs
At around 3.30 pm on July 1, a 7-year-old was playing at an artificial football field in Tuyen Quang Commune, Lam Dong Province, when a goalpost suddenly collapsed and struck him, leaving him critically injured.
Upon being notified, the local police promptly arrived at the scene and launched an investigation to clarify the circumstances of the incident.
The sports complex where the incident occurred features two adjacent mini football pitches within a 1,000-square-metre area, built some years ago. The iron goalposts measure 2 metres high and 3 metres wide.
The case is under investigation.
