Expansion of HCM City-Trung Luong-My Thuan Highway to start in Q2

The expansion of the HCM City-Trung Luong-My Thuan Highway is scheduled to begin in the second quarter of this year.

The project will be implemented through a public-private partnership (PPP) model.

Expansion of HCM City-Trung Luong-My Thuan Highway to start in Q2

The HCM City-Trung Luong section will be expanded from 4 lanes to 8 lanes, while the Trung Luong-My Thuan section will increase from 4 to 6 lanes.

The total investment for the project will be VND42.06 trillion (USD1.65 billion).

The feasibility study for the project carried out by the Deo Ca-CII-Tasco Consortium was approved in January.

The HCM City-Trung Luong-My Thuan Expressway is part of the eastern North-South Expressway, stretching over 90 kilometres. The 40-kilometre HCM City-Trung Luong section, featuring four lanes, was put into use in 2010. Meanwhile, the 51-kilometre four-lane Trung Luong-My Thuan section opened to traffic in 2022.
