According to the Da Lat People’s Committee, 95 duck pedal boats operate on Xuan Huong Lake. Da Lat Urban Services Joint Stock Company, Lam Dong Tourism Joint Stock Company, and the family of Nguyen Tran Anh Duy own these boats.
The duck pedal boat service halted on Xuan Huong Lake
Under the Law on Irrigation, commercial water-based services must be licensed. However, the duck pedal boat service operators on Xuan Huong Lake have not yet received a licence.
Da Lat City People’s Committee has requested a temporary service suspension and asked the operators to finish all required procedures.
The duck pedal boats must remain docked during this period.
Da Lat City has proposed a public bidding process for the duck pedal boat service on Xuan Huong Lake.
