Nguyen Vu Hung, chairman of Toan Thang Commune People's Committee, said local authorities had ordered the temporary closure of the site immediately after the fatal accident.

The suspension is intended to prevent visitors from entering the bathing area while authorities assess safety conditions and identify potential hazards.
Officials are also reviewing high-risk locations within the waterfall area and have instructed the site's operator to strengthen warning systems before reopening.
Thac Trang is a popular eco-tourism destination known for its natural scenery and cool waters, attracting large numbers of visitors during the summer.
The latest incident occurred on May 30, when a 44-year-old man drowned while swimming at the waterfall.
Witnesses said the victim had jumped into the water twice without incident before disappearing beneath the surface during a third jump. He was later recovered and taken to hospital but did not survive.
The accident was not the first at the site. In May 2025, two visitors drowned at an upper section of the waterfall where warning signs had already been installed.
Authorities said the suspension would remain in place until safety assessments are completed.
