Hanoi adjusts metro schedule ahead of National Day celebration

Hanoi Metro has announced changes to the metro schedules to better serve higher travel demand during the 80th anniversary celebration of National Day on September 2.

Under the plan, trains on the Cat Linh-Ha Dong route and the Nhon-Hanoi Station line’s Nhon-Cau Giay section will operate from 5.30 am to midnight on August 21, 24, 27, 29 and September 1, and will run continuously from midnight until 10 pm on September 2.

On August 30, metro services will operate from 5 am to 10 pm, with trains running every 6 minutes between 5 and 8 am and every 10 minutes during the remaining hours.

On September 1, trains will run from 5.30 am to midnight, two hours later than usual, with trains running at consistent 10-minute intervals throughout the day.

On September 2, trains will run non-stop from midnight to 10 pm, with trains every 6 minutes during peak periods (4.30-7.30 am and 11.00 am-2.30 pm) and every 10 minutes at all other times.

Hanoi Metro advises passengers to plan their trips, follow updates on official communication channels, and comply with staff instructions to ensure safe and convenient trips.

The Cat Linh-Ha Dong metro line has been in operation since November 2021, carrying around 45,000 passengers daily. Meanwhile, the Nhon-Cau Giay section entered service in August 2024, serving an average of 15,000-20,000 passengers per day.
