Four Vietnamese scientists have been listed in the World’s Most Influential Scientific Minds 2015 by Thomson Reuters.
They are Dr. Professor Nguyen Son Binh lecturing at Northwestern University's Chemistry Faculty in the US; Associate Professor Nguyen Xuan Hung, who teaches at the HCM City University of Science under the Vietnam National University; Professor Nguyen Thuc Quyen of the US University of California's Chemistry and Biochemistry Department and Vo Van Anh working as a lecturer at the Science and Technology Faculty of the University of Queensland, Australia.

They are among 3,126 most influential scientists globally posted by Thomson Reuters on its website highlycited.com. This list of top researchers around the globe have earned their distinction by publishing the highest number of articles that rank among those most frequently cited by fellow researchers.
Notably, Nguyen Son Binh and Nguyen Xuan Hung have been named in the list in two years in a row.
Nguyen Son Binh is also a major member of the US Argonne National Laboratory. His research group develops soft materials with potential applications in catalysis, separation, drug delivery, and structural applications.
In July 2015, Prof Nguyen Xuan Hung was presented Georg Forster Research Award by the German Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. He is also Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Asia Pacific Journal of Computational Engineering (APJCEN).
