Thu Le Zoo, one of Hanoi’s most popular leisure spots, was left covered in litter after the long Reunification Day (April 30) and May Day (May 1) holiday.
The zoo was very crowded as many people took their children to see animals.
Many families brought with them plastic sheeting to sit on the grass but few threw them away.
As a result, every corner of the park was left covered in rubbish.
Dustbins in the park were full due to the high number of visitors.
The same situation was also reported at many other tourist attractions in the country, including Danang’s beaches.
Meanwhile, many streets in Danang City were also covered with rubbish on the evening of April 30, the first day of on-going Danang International Fireworks Festival 2018.
