The proposal is part of the Scheme to Design the Urban Areas around Thiền Quang Lake that the 37 representatives have unanimously approved.
In the survey by the People's Committee of Nguyễn Du Ward, a majority of participants are in favour of the scheme and the construction of the Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter, and Central Squares around the lake.
Vũ Hy Chương, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nguyễn Du Ward, believes that the scheme will make the urban areas around Thiền Quang Lake more attractive by creating places for visitors and locals to wind down and take in the sights.
He suggests planting seasonal trees in each corresponding square and installing public water stations to serve visitors.
Dương Minh Đức, Chairman of the People's Committee of Nguyễn Du Ward, said the scheme will be implemented simultaneously with three other projects: the renovation of Thống Nhất Park, Thanh Niên Sports Palace, and the group of the three temples Thiền Quang, Quang Hoa and Pháp Hoa.
Regarding public toilets and stationary transport infrastructure, he said the Urban Management Department of Hai Bà Trưng District is gathering feedback from all stakeholders to modify the scheme accordingly, ensuring it fits well with the Master Plan of the district and adheres to regulations.
