According to reports from 22 cities and provinces, the medicine is safe and has proved its obvious effectiveness in reducing viral load, virus spread and the number of severe cases, and shortening treatment times, with no fatalities recorded.
The Ministry of Health will continue supporting Covid-19-affected localities to get access to Molnupiravir in the coming time.
Molnupiravir is developed by the US-based pharmaceutical companies Ridgeback Biotherapeutics and Merck & Co., Inc.
Some pharmaceutical companies in Vietnam are planning to or are producing Molnupiravir pills.
