The Hue Relics Preservation Centre and the German Conservation Restoration & Education Projects (GCREP) held a ceremony on July 17 to mark the completion of a project to preserve and restore interior decoration of Ta Vu-Dai Noi Hue (Mandarin’s House).

The project has a total investment capital of more than EUR158,000, of which nearly EUR140,000 are sourced from Germany.

The GCREP Project Manager, Andrea Teufel, said that the project has been implemented since October 2012, with the aim of restoring decorative patterns on the wall of Ta Vu and preventing the impact of severe weather on the whole building.

The project has contributed to preserving the beauty of the historical relics in the old Imperial Citadel. Under the project, the GCREP management has granted certificates to nine students from Hue College of Arts.
