The resumption for trains LP5/6 on the Hanoi-Haiphong route will start on October 8 and the time for trains LP3/8 also on this route will begin from October 18.

Trains SE21/SE22 on the Danang-Saigon route are expected to be reopened from October 15. Meanwhile, the resumption of trains SNTT/2 on Nha Trang-Saigon and SPT1/2 on Phan Thiet-Saigon will be from November 1.

From December 1, trains on other routes are planned for being reopened based on the pandemic situation and the real travel demand of people.

All passengers’ trains in Vietnam have been suspended since August 25 due to the Covid-19 outbreak in many localities. Since then, the railway sector has only operated freight services and services transporting Covid-19-affected people home based on the demand of management agencies and localities.
