“Queen of athletics” Vu Thi Huong was named one of the best indoor runners of 2009 by the Asian Athletics Association (AAA).
Huong won the gold medal and set a new record in the 60m event at the third Asian Indoor Games last November. She also grabbed two golds and one silver at the 25th SEA Games in Laos a month later and bagged two silvers at the Asian championship.
She is the only Vietnamese athlete to make it on the AAA’s list.
