Vietnamese violinist Le Hoai Nam is to perform with the Vienna Chamber Orchestra at the 15th Toyota Classics 2012 at Hanoi's Opera House early November.

Le Hoai Nam will perform with the Raffaele ed Antonio Gagliano 1846 violin on November 4.
"I'll perform well-known works by Tchaikovsky and Saint-Saëns. I hope the concert will take the audience on a passionate and colourful journey." he said.
Nam was born in Hanoi and started to learn the violin from the age of five under his father's instructions. When he was seven, he studied at the Hanoi National Conservatory of Music (now Vietnam National Academy) and Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts after he graduated. He has studied with reputable teachers such as Vo Van Ha, elite artist Nguyen Chau Son and Professor Michael Ma.
He has performed extensively in Europe and Asia, from Baroque to modern classics.
In October 2011, he was invited as soloist with Vietnam National Opera Ballet Orchestra in a performance at Carnegie Hall, New York to perform Vietnamese composer Dam Linh's Violin Concerto “Thang Long.''
Le Hoai Nam was the first Vietnamese to be appointed by Maestro Sergiu Comissiona to lead the Asian Youth Orchestra during its 1999 tour to the United States, Canada, Hong Kong and Japan.
He currently serves as Acting Principal Second Violin of the Hong Kong Sinfonetta Orchestra, teacher at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, and a member of Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK) String Quartet.
The concert will also feature the talent of Japanese guitarist Soichi Muraji.
The concert will be led by well-known conductor Joji Hattori who won the International Yehudi Menuhin Violin Competition in 1989. After 10 years, he started his conducting career. He is currently Visiting Professor of Violin at the Royal Academy of Music in London and President and Member of the Jury of the International Yehudi Menuhin Violin Competition.
