On the second competition day (November 17) alone, they clinched 7 gold and 6 silver medals in various categories and 5 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze medals for juniors.
Earlier, on November 16 the national team grabbed 9 gold, 5 silver and 3 bronze medals. Gold medalists went to Nguyen Thanh Loc in the men’s 50 LC Meter Apnea, Luu Nguyen Duc Tam in the men’s 200 LC Meter Surface, Nguyen Thi Lan Vy in the women’s 50 LC Meter Apnea, Nguyen Thi Hang in the women’s 200 LC Meter Surface.
Vu Dang Nhat Nam in the men’s 400 LC Meter Bi Fins, Nguyen Tu Anh in the women’s 1500 LC Meter Surface, and Luu Nguyen Duc Tam in the men’s 1500 LC Meter Surface were also among outstanding athletes to secure gold medals.
Vietnam has sent 45 athletes to the 2025 CMAS Southeast Asia Championship Finswimming Indoor taking place in Indonesia from November 16 to 19. The tournament is divided into two categories: one for Southeast Asian competition and another Asian youth competition for Southeast Asian athletes.
So far Vietnamese athletes have bagged 16 gold, 11 silver and 3 bronze medals in the Southeast Asian competition, and 13 gold, 7 silver and 8 bronze medals in the Asian youth competition for Southeast Asian juniors.
In the 2024 edition, Vietnam topped the overall medal table with 21 gold medals. Finswimmer Vu Dang Nhat Nam was honoured as the best athlete of the tournament.
