The top Vietnamese equestrian, Phan Thi Ha Thanh, won a gold medal for the horse jump at the Asian Championships in Fujian, China.

She competed against a number of other skilled athletes from other countries such as China, Japan, South Korea and North Korea to earn the medal.
Thanh is also under pressure, as she is one of the the best hopes for Vietnam's team. She has shown herself a worthy contender at this event, scoring 14,700, a record achievement for Thanh.
After the unsuccessful performance in Olympics of 2012, Ha Thanh has been in top form.
Despite rigorous preparation for the event, another top athelete, Do Thi Ngan Thuong was unable to attend due to an injury. However, the Vietnamese team walked away proud, largely due to Ha Thanh's performance, as well as her teammate Do Thi Thanh Huyen.
