The Department of Performing Arts officially gave permission to Pham Huong to participate in Miss Universe 2015 held in the US on December 20.
Huong will leave for the US on December 1 to compete with other 80 beauties in the Miss Universe beauty pageant held at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas.
Pham Thi Huong, 24, was crowned as Miss Universe Vietnam 2015 on October 3, 2015 at Crown Convention Centre, Nha Trang City, Vietnam.
Before winning the crown of Miss Universe Vietnam 2015, Huong was a professional model and had won various competitions. She is highly regarded by many experts in the industry.
Thuy Lam is the first Vietnamese candidate to survive the first cut in Miss Universe pageant in 2008 being only one of the two Asians making the first cut along with Hiroko Mima of Japan.
