One of them will serve as the main referee, while the other will take charge of the VAR (Video Assistant Referee) room, the Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company (VPF) said.
Hanoi FC are scheduled to take on Dong A Thanh Hoa FC in the 17th round of the V.League 1 on April 4.
Referee Mohamad Kamil Zakaria Bin Ismail previously officiated in the play-off match between Ha Tinh FC and PVF-CAND FC at the end of the 2023-2024 V.League season. Since 2021, he has been working at the highest level of professional football in Malaysia and earned the title of the best referee of the year in 2023 from the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM).
He has also participated in several matches involving Vietnamese teams, including serving as the fourth referee in games between Thanh Hoa FC and Hanoi Police FC in the ASEAN Cup, and as the fourth official during the AFF Cup 2024 match between Vietnam and Laos.
Meanwhile, Razlan Joffri Bin Ali is also no stranger to V.League, having officiated in two matches during the 2023 season. He continued his involvement in the 2023-2024 season, overseeing the match between Quang Nam FC and Song Lam Nghe An in round 24.
Like his fellow countryman Ismail, Ali also served as the fourth official during the 2024 AFF Cup, including in the first-leg semifinal between Vietnam and Singapore.
