More houses to be built for Kon Tum's disadvantaged households

The Ministry of Public Security will help to build 1,400 houses for disadvantaged households in the Central Highlands province of Kon Tum.

On Monday, representatives from the Ministry of Public Security met with Kon Tum authorities to discuss supporting the construction of 1,400 homes for local ethnic communities, social welfare beneficiaries, and low-income households.

Under the plan, the ministry will provide VND60 million (USD2,350) for each house. Meanwhile, the province will mobilise additional local resources, including labour and construction materials, to assist the construction process.

The Ministry of Public Security will help to build 1,400 houses in Kon Tum

Kon Tum authorities have pledged to use the Ministry of Public Security's financial assistance effectively and ensure the construction of 1,400 houses by June 30 this year.

Colonel Nguyen Hong Nguyen, Deputy Chief of the Office of the Ministry of Public Security, urged the Kon Tum police force to thoroughly review the policy beneficiaries. He also emphasised the need for collaboration among all concerned agencies to speed up progress and meet the target on time.

To date, Kon Tum has completed the construction and renovation of 1,016 houses out of the 2,752 needing rebuilding or repair.
