International visitors accounted for an estimated 5.2 million of the total, reflecting strong demand supported by a series of cultural events and festivals, including the Danang International Fireworks Festival, the Danang Ao Dai Festival and the Colours of Quang exhibition.

The tourism boom also boosted domestic consumption, with retail sales and consumer service revenue rising nearly 21 per cent year on year to almost VND145 trillion (USD 5.5 billion).
Authorities said the city aims to shift its tourism strategy in the second half of the year from increasing visitor numbers to raising visitor spending.
Planned events include the Enjoy Danang Festival, the Vietnam-Korea Festival, the Hoi An-Japan Cultural Exchange, the Danang International Lantern Festival, the Pickleball World Cup 2026 and the Vietnam Legends Festival 2026.
The city also plans to further develop tourism products at Hoi An, My Son Sanctuary, Cu Lao Cham and Ba Na Hills.
Vice Chairwoman of the Danang People's Committee Nguyen Thi Anh Thi said the city would continue promoting itself as one of Asia's leading destinations for events and festivals.
