The Capella Hanoi in Vietnam's capital features in the list for the first time. It pays homage to the nearby Hanoi Opera House, an early 1900s landmark, by adorning its Bill Bensley-designed rooms with opera artifacts, Forbes Travel Guide wrote.
The boutique hotel also immerses guests in local culture, connecting them with master artisans who share centuries-old traditions in Vietnamese lacquer painting and ceramics, the US magazine added.
The Four Seasons Resort The Nam Hai Hoi An in the central province of Quang Nam has made it into the list for three consecutive years.
Located between the bustling city of Da Nang and the light-filled town of Hoi An, the resort is considered to be an idyllic hideaway on a pristine white sand beach, Forbes Travel Guide shared.
In terms of the Southeast Asian region, Vietnam ranks fourth in the number of five-star hotels in the list, behind Indonesia with five hotels, Singapore with four hotels, and Thailand with three hotels.
Four other hotels in Vietnam were rated four-stars in this year's ranking, including Park Hyatt Saigon, Regent Phu Quoc, The Reverie Saigon, and Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi.
A recommended list unveiled by Forbes Travel Guide also saw the presence of several local hotels and resorts, namely The Grand Ho Tram Strip, InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort, JW Marriott Hotel Hanoi, and Pullman Danang Beach Resort.
